Getting started
Step 1: Create your account
Visit leadforge.ai/signup and enter your email. No credit card required for the free trial.
- Use a work email if you have one
- Choose a strong password
- Verify your email (check spam if needed)
Step 2: Understand the dashboard
Your dashboard shows all your jobs (searches). Each job has a status: running, completed, or failed.
- Jobs tab: View all your searches and their status
- Leads tab: Browse all extracted leads
- Settings: Update your account preferences
Step 3: Check your trial limits
Free trial includes 3 jobs with 10 leads per job (30 total). Perfect to test before upgrading.
Run your first Google Maps search
Step 1: Click "New Job"
From your dashboard, click the "New Job" or "Google Maps Search" button.
Step 2: Enter your search terms
- Business type: e.g., "restaurants," "gyms," "real estate agents"
- Location: City, state, or ZIP code (e.g., "Austin, TX")
- Max leads: Up to 10 on free trial, more on paid plans
Step 3: Wait for results
Most jobs finish in 2-5 minutes. You'll see a progress indicator. Feel free to close the tab and come back later.
Step 4: Review your leads
Once complete, click on the job to see all extracted leads with business names, phones, addresses, and websites.
Export & deduplicate
Download as CSV
Click "Export CSV" on any completed job. The file downloads immediately with all lead data.
Pro tip: Open in Excel or Google Sheets for easy filtering and sorting.
Deduplication
LeadForge automatically removes duplicates within each job. If you merge multiple exports, use Excel's "Remove Duplicates" feature or Google Sheets' "Data → Data cleanup → Remove duplicates."
Enrichment (only if website exists)
When to enable enrichment
Email enrichment works by visiting the business website and finding contact emails. Without a website, enrichment will fail or time out.
Best practice: Only enable enrichment if most leads have websites listed. Otherwise, you'll waste time on failed lookups.
How to enable it
When creating a job, toggle "Enrich with emails" if available. Enrichment adds 1-2 minutes per lead to the job time.
Troubleshooting
Job failed or timed out
Try a smaller search area or reduce the number of leads. Very large queries can time out. Contact support if it persists.
No results found
Check your search terms. Try broader keywords (e.g., "restaurants" instead of "vegan gluten-free restaurants"). Make sure the location is spelled correctly.
Enrichment not working
Enrichment requires websites. If leads don't have websites listed on Google Maps, enrichment will return empty. This is expected behavior.
